Vladimir is a Seismic Installation Technician for DOC's California Geological Survey. He spends his days keeping Californians safe by traversing iconic buildings, bridges, and dams installing monitors that detect strong motion in the event of a large earthquake. The data collected from these sensors creates a "Shake Map" used by contractors when building safer structures and first responders when reacting to natural disasters.
