There is no such thing as a negative Odù. What exists is a misguided view on this matter, influenced by some Ifá cultures that came to Brazil in the past. People want to take care of the Odù, but not the paths of their lives or their needs.
The Odù presents itself in a negative aspect, but the problem is not the Odù itself, as its function is only to bring a message to the person, indicating which path they should follow to improve things in their life. People cling to the Odù and forget that they need to change their attitudes and postures in life for things to improve. What should be cared for and "positively activated" are the person's paths, not the Odù itself. The translation of Odù is not path.
When a person receives a message from an Odù in its negative aspect, they should take steps to ensure that this Odù, or another, presents itself in the future in its positive aspect. This ritual should be performed for the person's life, to transform what was negative into something positive, so that things change. For example, if the Odù points to negative paths, the person should take care of their path. It is necessary to perform rituals to transform the paths into something positive, not the Odù itself.
The Odù is a symbol used in oracles such as the Ikin Ifá, Opelé, and Ikin Ifá, within the Afro-Brazilian culture of Nagô and Yoruba origin. What needs to be "cared for" and "positively influenced" are the person's paths.
