The VMware ESXi Direct Console User Interface (DCUI) is a menu-driven tool accessed by pressing F2 on the server's physical console (or via SSH), used for essential setup like configuring the management network (IP, VLAN, DNS), setting passwords, enabling/disabling SSH/Shell, and viewing logs, making it crucial for initial host setup and basic troubleshooting after installation.

|| Key Functions & Access
__Access: Press F2 (Customize System/View Logs) on the ESXi host's console, then log in as root.

__Management Network: Set static IP, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway, DNS servers, and FQDN.

|| Common Tasks
__Log In: Press F2, enter root credentials.

__Configure Network: Select "Configure Management Network" "IPv4 Configuration" (or IPv6) to set static IP, etc., then restart network.
