Far Cry 6 will not have a map editor
Far Cry 6 will not have a map editor or Arcade mode.
The news was revealed in an AMA with the Far Cry Dev Team on the Far Cry subreddit, when a fan asked, “Will the map editor return? it was my favorite thing of the past main line Far cry's!”
In response, Alexandre Letendre, Game Director on Far Cry 6 shared: “No, Arcade will not come back. Removing this mode from our plan was a difficult decision, but allowed us to focus our efforts on the main campaign, transporting players into the heart of a modern-day guerrilla revolution.”
Far Cry 6 is set to launch on October 7 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Stadia, Amazon Luna, and PC.
