Can words suffer from inflation the same way money does?
The word 'genocide' was originally reserved for extreme cases in history; now, it's used broadly. Describing Israel’s actions in Gaza as genocide is not new, it has been talked about for decades. Yet, even if there are good intentions when using the word 'genocide' to describe the conflict, over time, people become used to such language, and it loses its effect.
