👉 If you don't already have something like LifeLock or Identity Theft Protection for your family, go ahead and take advantage of these services for each member of your family. Yes, even the children. Some scammers target children's identities since they typically don't need credit until they are adults, and by then, their credit is damaged.
Another way to help prevent identity theft is to shred and properly dispose of your personal documents.
