Many large enterprises and government agencies operate in silos that are not going anywhere any time soon. Imagine a scenario where every part of a basic CICD pipeline is run by a different set of contractors and vendors. The problem of silos is the problem of communication, or lack of it: the lack of communication between decision makers and implementers; and the lack of communication across silos - aka between vendors, contractors, and different tech teams. In this talk I will present an approach to solving these communication problems. I will address how the interplay between the DevOps best practices and the following concepts could be leveraged to break down silos: Agile Methodology, IT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture, Governance & Compliance, and Communication Change Management.
