Local nursing home has new approach to helping
According to the Alzheimer's Association, every 67 seconds a person in the United States is diagnosed with Alzheimer's or some form of Dementia. As people continue to live longer and baby boomers continue to age, the prevalence is expected to grow. By 2050, the number of people with Dementia symptoms is expected to triple to 13.8 million.
A local nursing home is working to ease the impact, with a multi-sensory Snoezlen room.
