Fender Jazz Bass Pickup Exchange (factory to lollars!)
So I picked up this bass about 6 months ago or so and I finally am getting around to modifying it to add those lollar jazz bass pickups plus the hardware like new volume and tone pots plus the jack is new too. Maybe that didn't necesssarily need to be changed but i figured why not. so the sound in my opinion post install of the new pickups soiunds really great but the difference in the two is much more subtle than I anticipated. There is a big difference in tone to my ear but it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb as if it's totally different which I like. I would love to get the bass on a big nice amp sometime and see what it really feels like. I am finding the action might be a little too low even after the most recent changes to that. It's always a work in progress it seems. I hope this video finds you all well. I think the next video will be a string chnage on the martin d18 custom shop so stay tuned for that. remember it has the bridge doctor in it so I will be adding some trick options to the restring so that it plays a little better. if you have a chance to watch the video you will see what I mean. cheers friends.
