BEST Motovlog Mic! GoPro Hero 5 Black - Ride & Review
Purchased a new mic that works GREAT with the GoPro Hero 5 Black!

As many of you know, I made video after video trying to figure out the clipping and popping issue with the Hero 5, and had no luck figuring it out. I even spent a long time on a phone call with GoPro, and they said it was a faulty audio adapter! I thought as the old mic I was using was perfect with the Hero 4, that it couldn't be the mic! Alas, I was wrong.
I tried for awhile to figure it out. I really wanted to use the Hero 5 Black b/c of the video stabilization. Really made a difference in the quality of the vids! But the terrible audio quality made the videos unwatchable, to the point where I even had to delete a couple of motovlogs that had good content. Wasteful! So I reverted back to the Hero 4 Silver. No video stabilization, but the video was good enough without it, and the audio quality was top notch. The GoPro Hero 5 took a backseat, until...
YOU GUYS! As per recommendation from many of you subscribers, you recommended I watch a video that went over a mic that would work with the Hero 5 Black. So I checked out the vid, bought the mic immediately, installed it asap, and have been testing it since for a few weeks.
The results? It's AWEsome! No popping, no clipping, very crisp and clean audio. Overall, a really quality motovlogging mic! And since it's even smaller than the previous Sony mic, I can tuck it tighter against the cheek pad in my modular helmet, which = less breathing noise. Win!
