How to Test Color Schemes in Photoshop
One thing I didn't mention in the video -- You can hold alt and drag a layer (in the layer box) to make a copy of the layer. That is good for quickly moving a color layer, then repeating the process by selecting an empty spot, selecting the inverse, then filling it in with different colors.
