Google Pixel 2 XL vs iPhone X - ( Low Light Camera Comparison in 2018 )
In this video we compare the Camera of the Pixel 2 XL against the iPhone X in Low Light Conditions.
The camera on the pixel Produces really sharp and vibrant images even in Low light conditions. Even though the Pixel 2 only has a single camera, it does a great job in producing awesome looking portrait images with beautiful background bokeh.
The camera on the iPhone X produces much more realistic images, but I have to say the images do feel a little soft when you try to pixel peep against the Pixel.
A Big Difference that I saw Between both the cameras, was their tendencies to expose differently, the iPhone X tends to Expose for the Shadow region, and because of this sometimes overexposes the Highlights. While on the other side the Pixel tends to expose for the highlights and as a result produce darker or sometimes crushed shadow regions.
Both the Phones record 4k video, and what I found was that the iPhone Produces more realistic videos with better noise performance, while the pixel 2 XL's video looks Bright and saturated, it also has more noise in the shadow regions.
Optical Image stabilization on both the smartphones is great, it's just that on the pixel there are micro vibrations which you will notice when looking at objects, while the iPhones video overall is smooth and does not suffer from that vibration.
