Vadim Smakhtin, CTO, Partner at Habidatum, software engineer, teaches students about various aspects of technologies needed for modern urban services.
Using their background in wearable systems engineering students do research how networks of devices can be used for various urban needs – starting from infrastructure monitoring to systems that allow us to build more rigid and responsive communities.
What are the learning outcomes?
At the end of the course the students are able to:
✔️Prototype urban services with Python, vvvv, Processing, and Arduino;
✔️Quickly understand the internal structure of technological urban service;
✔️Conceptualize and design UX for an urban service;
✔️Discuss and forecast the social outcomes and effects after introducing selected technology or urban service.
