This video is about myth of query folding if its really happening or not in Power BI. Whenever we see that the view in native query option on any transformation step in Power Query editor is in greyed out mode, we assume that the query is not folded. But to really find out, what we need to do is to use some tool that profiles the queries that's being sent back to your source to see if its truly happening. We can use a SQL profiler or an Azure Data Studio to do this. But if we don't have any of these options then we can use the built-in feature in Query editor called "Query Diagnostics" option from Tools in Query editor. This would allow us to validate if the query has been folded or not.
