Citrix: Xenserver: Move VM To iSCSI FreeNAS Server
As if there weren't already enough computers powered on in my place, I decided to pop on the long-stored away FreeNAS server and start up the iSCSI storage.
Given that I had the windows xp vm hooked up to xendesktop and thus a citrix desktop delivery controller that wanted to keep the windows xp vm up and running all the time, I had to put the vm into "maintenance mode" in the citrix delivery services console and shut the vm down. Once the vm was down for good, I used the xencenter console to move the vm over. Et Voila! Xenserver is merrily providing access to the up and running windows xp vm.
