Writing Well for Google and Humans
Search Engine Optimization for Small Business Websites
One of the most common questions I receive from audiences at seminars and workshops is, “How do I get found on Google?” That’s a loaded question and it comes with a loaded response. It turns out to be found on Google, you either need to be known already (to wit, be a celebrity or a public figure) or get known through some avenue. One avenue is to build your content marketing strategy so that Google brings search traffic to your website. Of course, this requires you to write a particular way so as to appeal to Google and ultimately to humans. That’s the focus of this Webinar--writing well for Google and humans.
In this Web-based presentation, we will cover:
1. practical guidelines for writing effective marketing and educational text for your website,
2. the tools that are available on the Web today to quickly proofread and suggest edits to your writing, and
3. the factors you need to pay attention to in order to make sure that Google and the other Search Engines sets your written copy above others’.
