You can use this tutorial to create subtitles for YouTube, Instagram video captions and even IGTV captions and Facebook subtitles.

I’m gonna teach you all about captions and subtitles in Premiere Pro, including how to add those awesome white bars at the top and bottom of Facebook videos, Instagram Videos and IGTV videos. You really want to add captions to video, since most video is watched with the sound OFF. Once you know how to add captions to video, you’ll do it with all your videos. You want to add text to Instagram videos so people will know what your saying when the sound is off - which is most of the time. There IS a slight difference between captions and subtitles, but the terms are often used interchangeably. Once you know how to add subtitles to video, you know how to add captions to video as well - the process is the same. Closed captions can be turned off, but open captions - or embedded captions, cannot be.
