How Do I Start Playing RPGs ? [3 Ways To Get Started]

There's no denying that RPGs are getting more popular and by extension, more accessible. Today Justin and Matt talk about how to get started in RPGs and answer the question How Do I Start Playing RPGs?
There are a few different ways to get started and it depends on the demographic you fall into:
-A person who wants to learn to play and knows a group of players they can play with.
A group of people new to the hobby altogether but are interested in playing as a group.
A new player who has nowhere to start.
The first person is in luck, they can join the group of players and learn the hobby that way. That's how Justin started playing RPGs. It comes in very handy when you know people in the business so to speak. The newer player doesn't need to buy anything as veterans will be more than willing to share their books and dice with a player!
The second demographic is also great because you have some interest already and want to get into gaming as a group. Starter sets are really great in this sense, as the group can chip in and run a completely autonomous and inclusive game without the need for anything else like extra books. They even come with dice!
The third person has the biggest hurdle to overcome. Being a newer player to the hobby but also being alone with no contacts in the hobby already. Matt was like this in his youth and he didn't have the internet (at least not as we know it) to help him out. Yet below are a few links for those people who need help finding a group to play with!
