The Great Valdai Trail | May 7-8, 2021
Valdai is located between Moscow and St. Petersburg in the Novgorod region. Numerous lakes, impenetrable thickets, and a beautiful forest—all of this can be seen on a 60-kilometer hike along a relatively new eco-trail. The central part of the route passes through the specially protected area of the Valdai National Park, so there are equipped campsites with tent sites, firewood, and trash bins along the way. Bridges span the most challenging sections, and interesting information boards along the way introduce us to the local flora and fauna. Near the halfway point, you can climb a tower and enjoy the surrounding landscape.
