About a year ago in 2021, a new Batman animated series was announced—and not just any animated series, but one from Bruce Timm himself! The news itself excited fans, especially since there hadn't been a Batman animated series in almost 10 years. So, the new animated series has become one of the most anticipated projects for many, one that will bring back the old feel and add a lot of new elements, as this time the creators have much more freedom.
But what awaits us in the animated series "Batman: Caped Crusader," when will it be released, and should we be excited about this animated project? Let's find out in today's video!
First of all, it's important to know that "Batman: The Caped Crusader" will be, in many ways, a spiritual prequel to the famous and beloved Batman 1992 animated series, or BTAS (Batman The Animated Series). In this show, the Dark Knight will be at the very beginning of his career, just beginning his crusade against Gotham's criminal underworld, so no one knows how to perceive him—a threat or a protector? Many of the familiar villains have yet to develop their familiar personas, there's no hint of a Bat-family yet, and the Gotham police and Jim Gordon don't trust Bruce yet, even raiding him, like in Frank Miller's "Year One."
