The purpose of the WA2S Films: Celebrates American Stray Dogs Tour is to produce and share stray dog rescue and reunion stories by the people making a difference in each respective city.
Through the lens of a camera, the World Animal Awareness Society, an award-winning media non profit, films human - animal interaction, producing stories for TV and the internet which help facilitate movement toward positive community solutions.

You are important to our success! Since all of our work is accomplished through volunteers and the contributions of generous donors, we need YOU and here’s how you can help – the total cost of the 12+ city American Stray Dogs Tour is expected to be $20,000 – you can:

WA2S Films: Celebrates American Stray Dogs Tour Presented By: also available
WA2S Films will embark on a 3 week 12+ city tour of the United States, from: Detroit to Los Angeles by way of; Louisville, St. Louis, Memphis, Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Tucson, San Diego, Denver, Kanab, UT, and Omaha, NE beginning July 25 and culminating on August 16. The tour will produce dozens of stories,10 to 20 will be dog rescue or reunion.
WA2S Films' American Strays Project is in its 4th year and during the month of August we are taking time to celebrate all that has been accomplished so far and all still yet to be realized.
Some of the program components being supported by the American Stray Dogs Tour include:
Good Pet Guardian Lesson Plans: Videos for core curriculum and fact based lesson plans with stray dog data gleaned from the annual American Strays Canine Survey. The #1 issue facing domesticated dogs in large cities in the United States today is a lack of education in the community. American Strays: The Series: An ongoing in depth successful video series depicting the struggles and triumphs of stray dogs and their rescuers in Detroit – each episode highlights a different issue unique to stray dogs in Detroit.
