Opel Astra G. Jerking, misfiring, won't drive
For two months, I couldn't figure out what was wrong with the engine. The car was jerking, misfiring, and wouldn't run. There were no errors, and the check engine light wasn't on. I tried everything: the fuel pump twice, the throttle body, the intake manifold, and I changed the fuel filter twice. Nothing helped. On my last day at work, it started jerking on the highway, and instead of letting off the gas and driving smoothly, I decided to give it more gas. The car jerked more, so I gave it more gas, and it jerked even more, so I gave it more gas. Eventually, the check engine light came on, so I stopped and checked for errors. Finally, P0354 popped up—the ignition module is not working on cylinder 4. I somehow made it home and ordered a new ignition module. Today, I went, picked it up, removed the old one, and installed the new one. And voila, the car runs smoothly, doesn't stutter, pulls uphill, and overtakes perfectly.
