How to calculate squared numbers in Excel (plus square root, cubes and powers)
How to create Square and Root formulas in Excel

Knowing how to square a number in Excel is useful for calculating an area.
Likewise, knowing how to cube a number is essential for calculating a volume.
In this video I show you how to use powers (or "exponentials") to SQUARE a number, CUBE a number or apply whatever power you require.
(There are 2 techniques you can use).
Then I switch it around and calculate the ROOT of a number. For example, if 5 squared is 25, then the square root of 25 is 5.
In the same way, if 5 cubed (5 to the power of 3) is 125 then the cube root of 125 is 5.
