Black Sauce (aka Julian Bendall, Ricky Reid and The DJ Kid Creole) first released ‘Abigail’ back in 2010, and now this peach of a love song has been picked up by Dafia Records for a full make-over for 2022. Centred around Ricky’s soul-drenched vocals, Ashley Beedle, Jo Wallace and Darren Morris, otherwise known as North Street West, work their smooth Discofied magic, injecting classy brass and lush sweeping strings underpinned by an irresistible groove. Also on the package, Dafia boss Mannix, brings his glamourous Disco vibe, adding warm mellow keys and a trumpet solo, all set to a funky bass groove, rounding off Dafia’s most chic release to date!
UK dance music trio, North Street West, are Ashley Beedle, Jo Wallace and Darren Morris. From their North Street West Studio they turn out their original projects and remixes, including all the productions for Jo’s Ramrock and F*CLR labels. Together they’ve remixed artists such as Groove Armada, Str4ta, Joseph Malik, Smoove & Turrell, Honey Dijon, Tom Glide, Lay-Far, Ghetto Priest and many more. Style-wise, the North Street West sound ranges across house, Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Electronica, Dub, Disco, Country Soul and Downtempo.
Mannix has been one of Vienna’s most prominent house music pioneers since he first started DJing back in the early 90’s. His notable releases include remixes for Mousse T.'s 'Maybe In May' (Peppermint Jam) and Arnold Jarvis' 'Rising Into Joy' (Black Vinyl). He’s also released on Midnight Riot, Tropical Disco, Re-Loved, See-Saw, Slightly Transformed and Love Harder. 2021 saw the launch of Mannix's own new label DAFIA Records, an outlet for his own productions featuring collaborations with Lee Wilson, Dina Vass, Morris Revy, Roldy Cezaire, Fiona Barbier, Andre Espeut and Jaidene Veda, among others, along with his acclaimed debut album release 'Standing Right Here'.
