As I wandered the backstreets of Dhaka, I encountered both the intensity of daily life and diverse social stories. Here, I also encountered communities known as "hijra," a third-gender group in Bangladesh. These people, who often try to make ends meet by begging, struggle to survive on the fringes of society.
I wanted to show you both daily life in the narrow streets of the city and the difficult conditions experienced by the hijra. While life flows on in Dhaka's chaotic world, the existence of this community reminds us of a very different reality.
