Emot & Emoji - handling cool txt speak in Python - Advent of code 2021
So in this video, we're handling these special emoticon magical characters, discovering their meaning and doing it all in code. These libraries are super light, and maybe they're useful for you in different ways.
Python is a wonderful language that is made stronger by the community of people providing these sorts of libraries. Emot allows you to understand programatically where emoticons appear in a string, and emoji allows you to convert emoticons to text-language which is useful for saving, or back into emoticons - almost a serialise and deserialise of emoticons.
