This is the trailer for Indigenous, an inspirational and compelling TV series showcasing the disappearing cultures of the world. In this special documentary, we explore the varied and fascinating tribes of Papua New Guinea, many of which are under threat of extinction.
Indigenous reveals the little-known but significant assets of cultures on the edge of extinction. It shines a light on the miraculous history and present-day marvels of peoples hanging on to a way of life in the face of encroaching civilization. We dwell among the tribes, clans and families as they strive to reconcile conflicts between the past and present. We explore the manifestations of these societies throughout their often hidden histories. We highlight the magic and wonder of diversity. Our goal is to provide an understanding of why these vanishing cultures are so special and so worth preserving.
