Dave Castro announces the 2024 CrossFit Games WILL CONTINUE 🖤
Dave Castro announced on his social media and YouTube channel, as well as on the CrossFit Games account, that the Games will proceed as planned.
On August 8, 2024, a tragic accident occurred during the first event of the Games, in which athlete Lazar Dujik died during an open water swim. Since then, there has been much discussion about how such a thing could have happened, and the incident is still under investigation.
It was unclear whether the competition would continue or be canceled; ultimately, it was canceled.
