By popular demand, we're starting to knit the "May Miracle" rug together. The design was created by Zinaida Sergienko from Novosibirsk. She published a description of how to knit this rug on the Strana Mam website (http://www.stranamam.ru/post/10031786/).

I asked Zinaida for permission to film this video, and she agreed. Both the description and the video on how to knit the "May Miracle" rug are free. Incidentally, Zinaida gave me exclusive rights to film the video in Russian, meaning it's the first and only one. This means that all other videos about this rug were filmed without the author's permission.

Cord consumption:
1. To knit this rug, I needed a little over 12 skeins of cord (about 2,500 m). I used a size 8 crochet hook. The rug is approximately 2.5 meters long and 1.9 meters short.

2. Zinaida's cord consumption and rug size are different because she used a size 6 hook. With this hook, the cord consumption would be 11 skeins (or 2,200 meters), and the rug size would be 2.3 meters x 1.8 meters.

I used 5 mm polyester cord with a core. You can order the cord at: http://ШНУР-КУПИТ.рф

I don't think there's any point in going into detail about the "May Miracle" rug; it's quite well known in our crochet circles. So, without further ado, let's get started!
