Welcome back to Cold Emailing in a Minute.
In the last episode, we explained what email deliverability means.
Today, we’re breaking down the three essential authentication records that protect your sender reputation: SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
Here is the simple version.
SPF tells inbox providers who is allowed to send emails from your domain.
DKIM adds a verified digital signature so mailbox providers know the email was not altered in transit.
DMARC checks both SPF and DKIM and decides what to do with any suspicious email that claims to be from your domain.
Together, these three build trust with inbox providers, keep spammers from impersonating you, and increase your chances of landing in the inbox.
In the next episode, we’ll talk about email sending limits and the best practices to keep your account safe.
