Inserting a SIM card into an iPhone is straightforward and safe if you follow the correct steps and handle the tray carefully.
Locate the SIM Card Tray
Each iPhone model has a slightly different SIM tray location: for most recent iPhones (iPhone 11-15), the tray is on the right side. Older models might have it on the top or left side. Check for a small pinhole beside the tray

Power Off Your iPhone
Before inserting or removing a SIM card, turn off your device to prevent any hardware issues
Eject the SIM Tray
Use the SIM ejector tool included in your iPhone box. If unavailable, a small, straight paperclip works. Insert it into the pinhole and apply gentle pressure until the tray pops out
Never force the tray.
Insert the SIM Card
Place the SIM card into the tray with the notched corner aligned properly; this ensures it fits only one way. Make sure the gold contacts face the correct side according to your model
Apple
Reinsert the Tray
Gently slide the tray back into the iPhone until it fits flush with the phone’s edge. Avoid using force

Power On and Activate
Turn your iPhone back on. The device should recognize the SIM automatically. If prompted, follow on-screen instructions, and ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi or mobile data for activation
