New Tesla Empty Package - Cheapest Tesla - Is it really that empty?
Greetings everyone! Today, I had a long-awaited meeting.
Today, I had the opportunity to visit the Tesla store and take a closer look and test drive the Model Y Standard Edition. This first encounter was crucial for understanding both the vehicle's current position and Tesla's future plans.
The first thing I noticed while examining the vehicle was that Tesla has now adopted a much clearer "segmentation" strategy. In other words, the brand clearly divides its vehicles into "Standard" and "Premium." The vehicle we tested today represents the entry point to this strategy.
As a natural consequence of this segmentation, some of the premium features we're accustomed to are not included in this package. To share my honest first impression, despite these equipment shortcomings, the price of the vehicle feels somewhat high in the current market and compared to its competitors.
The main differences you'll encounter in this package due to segmentation are as follows:
🔹 Comfort Details: Premium touches like seat ventilation and ambient lighting are not included in this package. 🔹 Ergonomics and Equipment: Other notable details include the manual steering wheel adjustment, the lack of power rear seats, the choice of 18-inch wheels, and the more basic "Frunk" (front trunk) design. 🔹 Sound System: A standard 7-speaker system has been chosen over a premium audio experience.
However, we shouldn't just look at this from today's perspective. As I detailed in the video, with potential price hikes from other brands and changing market dynamics in 2026, the Model Y Standard Edition's price could settle at a much more competitive and reasonable price point.
