here's the quick fix on your iPhone/iPad unable to check for update while checking for a new software update. To get-go to the settings, general and Software Update. Before that your are WiFi-connected to working internet. after the long wait, you are getting a message in the popup like unable to check for update and an error occurred while checking for a software update. Retry using Try again button. and wait for a few more minutes. if are you getting the same error, check the wifi network settings, Go back and scroll to top under the settings. Here's connected WiFi, Tap on it and switch to another WiFi network if you have an option.

Once I changed the wifi network that alternatively that I am using in my office. after a switch to another network under a choose a network section, Go back and Find the General option under the settings then software update. Wait for a few seconds, you will get a new update screen if it is available.
if you have no any alternate wifi network and the existing wifi is working correctly then follow the next solution. in This situation are you suffering the problem with network jam. because of too many same requests from your location to the apple server that is nearby you. to fix this issue use VPN and request from another location by changing your location using VPN virtually. TunnelBear VPN is one of the secure and best VPN for iPhone users. Open App Store and search TunnelBear VPN, After that Download and install on iPhone/iPad. Open TunnelBear and Signup with Email and password. after that verify Email from your mail inbox. after verify it successfully launch TunnelBear VPN on your iPhone and the First toggle is for Enable TunnelBear from here. After enable it Allow required permission to make changes in your geo location virtually. and After that TunnelBeat add VPN configurations. To add in settings successfully use Face ID or Touch ID. once you successfully add, on TunnelBear app will show your current location on Map with One Bear passing to the ground, After that move Map and select the different location there are too many apple servers and Low Traffic jam in-network, So I am choosing United States, Once I moved in to, Tap on Yellow tunnel icon and select the Proxy VPN server. that divert your request from this location. And suddenly I found the New iOS 14 update, now we can disable the VPN and start download normally.
