Week 2 on the Mac and I built something I actually want to use. A keyboard shortcut that hides and shows all your desktop icons, built entirely inside the native Shortcuts app, no third-party software needed.

The shortcut runs a two-line shell script through a ZSH alias, and I also show how to do the same thing straight from the terminal if that's more your speed.
