The Slayer's Testament: 1
"In the First Age, in the first battle, when the shadows first grew long, one warrior stood. He was scorched by the embers of Armageddon, his soul seared by the flames of Hell, corrupted and unable to ascend, so he chose the path of eternal torment. His hatred was so great that he could find no peace and wandered the Umbral Plains, seeking vengeance on the Dark Lords who had done him so much harm. He wore the crown of the Night Sentinels, and those who tasted his sword named him the Doom Slayer.
The Slayer's Testament: 2
"His steely will, tempered by hellfire, would not waver where the weak would be torn apart. For he alone was the Hellwalker, the Unstoppable Predator, seeking retribution everywhere: in darkness and light, in fire and flame, in the beginning and in the end. And he pursued the slaves of Doom with incredible cruelty, for he had traversed the Divide where only demons had once traversed."
The Slayer's Testament: 3
"And in battle with the black souls of the doomed, he showed his valor." For his crusade, the Seraphim granted him immense strength and speed, and with his might he shattered the obsidian columns of the Blood Temples. Mercilessly, he descended upon the monsters of the nine circles. The Doom Slayer—invincible, implacable, unyielding—decided to eradicate the reign of darkness.
The Slayer's Testament: 4
"His vengeance took an eternity. Age after age, scribes carved his name on the tablets of hell, and each battle struck terror into the hearts of demons. They knew he would come—as he had come before, and always would—and feast on the blood of the wicked. For he could draw strength from fallen enemies, and his power grew, and he knew neither fatigue nor rest."
The Slayer's Testament: 5
"None could stand before the Horde—only the Doom Slayer." The terror before him spread like a plague, instilling despair in the enemies of the light, driving them ever deeper into their dark lairs. But from the depths of the abyss arose the Great One—a warrior stronger than all who had come before. He was a Titan of immeasurable power and fury. He crossed the desolate plain and confronted the Doom Slayer, and a furious battle ensued. The Titan absorbed the wrath of the Doom Slayer's countless victims, but he, too, fell; and with his defeat, the dark Horde fled.
The Slayer's Testament: 6
"Wandering between worlds and eras, the Hellwalker came upon a wretched creature whose name must not be spoken. This unholy being enlisted in the service of the Hellwalker. It clothed the Doom Slayer in sturdy armor, forged in the forges of hell, indestructible and unyielding. With sword and shield of incredible power, the Doom Slayer began to destroy all that had thus far escaped his wrath.
The Slayer's Testament: 7
"But when the mighty Titan fell and terror gripped the armies of Fate, the demon priests of the Blood Temples laid a trap for the Doom Slayer. Not content even with defeating the Great One, the Hellwalker sought new victims in the tombs of the Blood Keep. And he walked into the trap, blinded by his zeal. The priests collapsed the temple upon the Doom Slayer and buried him, defeated, beneath a cursed sarcophagus. The Doom Slayer's seal was burned into his tomb—a warning to all of Hell that the horror hidden within must never be released. There he lies, motionless, in silent torment."
