Mapping Drum Kits & Keyswitches to Piano Roll (Rapid-Fire Reaper Tutorials Ep42)
In this episode I want to show how to name your MIDI notes when working with Drum Kits or Keyswitch Instruments, and how to automate this process so you don't have to manually write in the note names.
If you use any Drum plugin, like EZDrummer, Superior Drummer, GGD, Kontakt Drum Libraries, East West, or even ReaSamplOmatic5000, usually there's a convention on which note contains which sample, and usually you can find those in the user manual and with the tricks I'll show you today, you can quickly turn those into something Reaper can read and show you in Piano Roll.
