Live Edge Slab Table with Steel Base
I have been using this old beech slab as a kitchen table, work bench, welding surface and other things for years without any protection so it was in pretty horrible condition. I decided to finally give it a makeover by completely flattening both sides to get the bend out and fix the surface. I also made a new base out of steel tubing, filled a large gap with clear epoxy resin, added a bowtie on the bottom to keep the crack from opening and finished everything with a matte poly varnish.
