A house as a gift?
Often driving past the Galaktika Youth Center and along Cosmonauts Ave., we do not pay attention to this area of private houses, which is located here. But at the beginning of the 20th century, there was a wasteland on this place and Grodno homeless people settled in dugouts or board booths, interrupting temporary part-time jobs and what they themselves grew in vegetable gardens. And how did a whole neighborhood of houses suddenly appear here, which was called the Workers' Quarter, and what these houses were like, I'll show you.
