In this video, I'll explain how to waterproof a bathroom, including potential mistakes and nuances. Waterproofing isn't just necessary to prevent flooding your neighbors in the event of a leak; it also protects the foundation from moisture, which is important in any home, especially a frame house like ours.
I'll be using Litokol Gidroflex Evo waterproofing. This is a one-component, ready-to-use compound based on synthetic resins. This compound is suitable for virtually any substrate, has a drying time of just two hours between coats, which is very convenient, requires no additional treatment before tiling, and has received numerous positive reviews. Thicker layers increase the drying time. We also used Litoband waterproofing tape from Litokol. It is used at corners and abutments, forming a continuous, closed loop with waterproofing and is made of elastic polyester fiber.
