Representing that MIA. My performance was horrible but I still decided to share it though. I think I wasn’t holding the mic right so you could barely hear me (Check Lyrics below).I got to apologize to y’all who heard me at the open mic but I really was not prepared to have a live band in the background. I had prepared the instrumental to this song thinking that they would be able to play it only to realize that this was not the case when I got onstage. Nevertheless, I appreciate y’all support nonetheless and the love you showed Oakland. I promise to do better next time.

If you all wish to hear the original song “Sugarwood Anthem” as I had intended to perform it, then please check out the link below to here the actual version:

Here are the lyrics below:

I was a king/ in my neighborhood/ Keax/
Joachim/ name/ used to ring/
in them Sugarwood/ Streets//
Miami Florida/ that’s border where/
Paradise Sin drugs thugs guns and that poverty meet//
grew up/
just another screw up/
running through Kendall//
Up in Sunset/
science classes/
triple beams I Stole//
not the ones to play around with/
just thought you should know//
If intentions improper/
my whole crew would roll/ with choppers//
Had a situation back in the year 2 triple O/
Where this kid tried to punk me cause he thought that he was swole/
Told the kid,” yo homie, if you really think you that bad/
Then come check me after school down at one forty six ave”//
When I got home/
That’s when I picked up phone/
& called up Vlad/
Told him these kids is beefing he replied,” be there in a flash.”//
Sugarwood swarmed with them boys that was strapped up with them gats/
But boy ain’t come instead he sent one of his boys to chat//
When he rolled up/ got out his truck/
drove by his girl/ she cute/
Asked me hold up/ “ I thought you was solo what’s up with these troops?”/
I ain’t say nothing/
hardly spoke back then/
Could call me mute/
But Boy was talking real disrespectful to the youth/
So That’s when by Enzo he got smacked up with hollahoop//
Jumped back in truck/
told homegirl pull out and that’s when then they skrrrt//
ran to them thugs/
Called the Mojicas/ to get more support/
But we was cool with them from playing on them b-ball courts/
But Still they intervened and instead they turned it to a sport//
Request 2 of us to be sent out/
Just to duke it out/
Before it reach the point/
Where we would have to shoot it out/
So we sent 2 soldiers enroute/
to meet at secret spot//
Mike & Enzo volunteered cause they both already hot//
Mike went first although he was only wearing flip flop slippers/
Word got back that he had won/
and at end he actually bit him/
After the fight they got dropped back off at sugarwood park/
Whole crew went crazy and they gave the homie mike some props/
Then gathered weapons that we had stashed/ it was getting dark/
Poppo had rolled up on the squad/
for looking like a mob/
Told us to please stay out of trouble/
Just doing they job//
It’s kind of hard though/
when your role models/
Are those who rob//
If not for God then I don’t know where I would be my G/
But thankfully/
he saved me from the path that lead to heat//
I hope he save you too/
thats why I spit these rhymes for you//
In hopes they lead you to/ Jesus/
He died and bleed for you/
He that big brother Vlad that handle every beef for you/
He that Mojica that will even intercede for you/
He Mike & Enzo that beat these goons & gnash teeth for you/
He died and rose to put devil under feet for you//
So that’s why I’m confused/
As why you choose/
not to come thru?//
Join us on Sunday and I’ll introduce you/
to the crew/
And if you down I’ll even introduce you to Him too//
