VW Crafter 5 Ton Rear Suspension
We fitted our VW crafter self-built campervan with full 5-ton rear suspension, after fitting 5-ton leaf springs and airbags to the rear of the VW crafter it was time for the final upgrade by fitting 5-ton Koni dampers to the rear of the crafter van, this was the final process in upgrading the rear suspension to fully 5 ton before we get the van up plated to allow us to carry more weight when we are travelling,
when we build our campervans its extremely hard to keep everything underweight and it's nice to have that extra weight in the van to be able to take things along on trips with you and not have the worry that you're overweight, being overweight in your self-built campervan can get you into trouble very quickly in the UK but more so when you head out into other countries, the consequences can be high fines and ultimately you may have your van taken off you for being overweight, so always make sure your within the legal limits and if not then do something about it which is what we are in the process of doing

These are the rear dampers we fitted - 82-2588: Koni Special Dampers REAR
and they cost £336.00 for the 2 of them which works out at £168.00 each
