Impulse responses actually explained (aka convolution for musicians)
I was recently looking for a video explaining impulse responses, and… I couldn’t find one. I mean, there are a few that explain the math in detail, with equations and everything, which is great if that’s what you want. But I wanted a video I could send to musicians who are, let’s say, math averse. And there were plenty of videos for musicians about how to make IRs and use them, but none of them explain what’s actually going on. I think it’s possible to convey a pretty complete intuitive understanding of impulse responses without equations. I just couldn’t find a video that did that.
