On January 23, 2015, Viktor Pavlovich Samoilov, a former polar explorer and participant in numerous Antarctic expeditions, died in a Moscow hospital. He was 78 years old. His death was due to old age and a combination of chronic illnesses, a natural consequence for someone who spent much of his life in extreme conditions. However, a few days before his death, Samoilov gave his nephew Alexei a sealed envelope with the inscription: "Open after my death. Transfer to an archive or publish." Inside the envelope was a thick, squared notebook, covered in small but legible handwriting. These were memoirs of events that took place in the winter of 1982 at the Soviet Antarctic station Vostok. Events that officially never occurred. ⚠️ This is a fictional project inspired by the Soviet era. Although based on real historical events, all characters, names, dialogue, and specific circumstances are the product of the author's imagination.
