The backpack is narrow and slim. It measures 17”H x 9”W x 7”D. At the top and bottom of the front, there are small zippered pockets. On the sides are two mesh water bottle pockets. Inside the main compartment, you’ll find the 70oz/2L water bladder that is made of a durable BPA-free plastic vinyl with some extra room in front for storage. The bladder is connected to a long tube straw that clips on your left hand side (when wearing the pack). At the end of the straw it a rubber nipple covered with a plastic cap. To drink from the straw, remove the cap and pull the nipple out until it clicks; when you’re done, press the nipple all the way back down to seal it off.

The back of the bag is padded at the shoulder blades and at the hip with about 1/2” of foam. There’s also 1/4” of foam in the shoulder straps with a chest support strap and two waist support wings/straps and buckle. Before first use, make sure to rinse out the bag. The instructions recommend a few ways to remove any "plastic taste" including using warm/boiling water, citrus juice and vinegar. When using the water pack, I didn’t experience any leaking, and there was no off flavor to the water. Overall, the bag is lightweight and comfortable to wear, and it’s an easy way to carry around a good amount of water to make sure you stay hydrated for your activities. Drying the bag takes a while, but the bladder is removable so be sure to empty and air it out before putting it away to prevent mold buildup.
