ESCAPE THE MATRIX - Zulip Is The REAL Slack and Discord Alternative
Join me for a nice Chicago walk, or rather a back-and-forth pace, as I rant about why I chose against using Matrix to host my personal chat workspace. I'm a big fan of Slack and have long been looking for a self hosted solution to emulate that workflow, but I was left with a myriad of bad choices and tradeoffs. Zulip, so far, is the most sane project I've seen for this purpose. Please tell me in the comments about why I'm stupid and wrong.
