Simple tutorial for simulating a water pumping system, showing basic functionality.
The pumping system is modeled as a simple pump operation, with one inlet and one outlet material stream. An energy stream represents the power required by the pump.
Step 1: 00:00 creating a new simulation
Step 2: 00:07 adding water compound
Step 3: 00:30 selecting 'Steam Tables' as the thermodynamic model
Step 4: 00:43 creating the pumping model (adding material and energy streams and pump object)
Step 5: 01:07 setting up pump connections
Step 6: 01:40 defining a name for the simulation file
Step 7: 01:54 changing the system of units
Step 8: 02:05 changing some properties of the inlet stream (mass flow)
Step 9: 02:37 defining the pump operation mode
Step 10: 03:00 running the simulation
Step 11: 03:10 viewing results
Step 12: 03:38 adding a property table to the flowsheet
Step 13: 04:33 saving and viewing a flowsheet report
