Loohaa, GPC friends! To introduce myself, my name is Clara, 18 years old, and originally from Java. But now I'm migrating to Kalimantan—looking for life experiences, that's the story. I want to share the story of my childhood when I was in 4th grade, which turned out to be much more exciting (and scary) than you imagined!
So, my father works at a palm oil company as an assistant manager, while my mother is a housewife who always pampers the family. My house feels like heaven, GPC friends. Whatever I want—from toys to holidays—my father will definitely do it, because he is a persistent person and a very hard worker. You could say, my life at that time was really good. There's no drama. Basically, perfect life, right?
But... life isn't always sweet like sweet iced tea in broad daylight, guys. Strange things started to emerge when my father got a promotion to General Manager at that company. This should have been a happy moment, but instead, things started to appear that didn't make sense.
My dad started to change. He often talked to himself, laughed alone, and sometimes daydreamed for long periods of time, as if he'd seen a ghost. The scary thing was, these changes didn't stop there. My mom and I often saw him sleep-talking in the middle of the night, even as if someone was whispering to him from the darkness! Sure enough, I immediately thought... could someone be playing a spell on my dad?! 🫣
My mom and I were getting more and more confused every day. The house, which had been peaceful, was now tense, especially at night. Sometimes, my dad would suddenly disappear without a word, only to reappear with a face like he'd encountered something inexplicable. At one point, my mom and I could only hope that this wasn't the beginning of a worse disaster.
