We're continuing to explore the fundamentals of composition, and today we'll touch on creating a formal composition from basic geometric shapes. In this lesson, we'll be creating a composition using squares. Such a composition can contain from one to nine elements. The pieces we create will need to meet the requirement of symmetry. Symmetry is when the two halves of an image are identical. Remember, any symmetrical image is static by default. And, of course, don't forget that texture can also contribute to composition.
