1. Open VMware Workstation: Launch VMware Workstation on your computer.

2. Create a New Virtual Machine:

Click on "Create a New Virtual Machine".

Choose the "Typical" configuration and click "Next".

Select "Installer disc image file (iso)" and browse to your Windows 7 ISO file. Click "Next".

Enter your Windows product key if prompted, or you can usually do this later during the Windows installation. Select the version of Windows 7 you have a license for. Click "Next".

Give your virtual machine a name and choose a location to save the virtual machine files. Click "Next".

3. Configure Virtual Machine Settings:

Specify the disk size. At least 20GB is recommended for Windows 7.

Choose whether to store the virtual disk as a single file or split it into multiple files. Splitting it can make it easier to move the VM later. Click "Next".

Review the settings and click "Customize Hardware" if you want to change the memory, network adapter, or other settings.

Adjust the memory (RAM) to at least 2GB for decent performance.

Ensure the network adapter is set to "NAT" if you want the VM to have internet access through your host machine's connection.

Click "Close" and then "Finish" to create the virtual machine.

4. Install Windows 7:

The virtual machine will start automatically. If it doesn't, select the VM from the VMware Workstation library and click "Power on virtual machine".

The Windows 7 installation process will begin. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows.

You'll need to select the disk you created earlier as the installation location.

Complete the installation process, which includes setting up your user account and computer name.

5. Install VMware Tools:

After Windows 7 is installed, install VMware Tools. This software enhances the performance and integration of the virtual machine with the host system.

6. Activate Windows: Activate your Windows 7 installation using your product key if you haven't already done so.
