This is everything you need to know about squats. First, place the bar at around chest height with your feet directly below it. Then take a grip as close as your shoulder mobility allows for while placing the bar on your upper traps. Second, take two little steps back away from the rack and use the third step to get your stance to about shoulder width apart with your toes slightly pointed out. Third, activate your lats and pull the bar down into your back. Then, take a big breath down into your belly, contract your abs and hold it. Now, you are ready squat. Hinge your hips back, push your knees forward and squat as deep as you comfortably can while maintaining a straight back. Make sure that your knees are pointing in the direction of your toes and have even pressure in your heels and toes at all times. Finally, squat up with your hips and chest raising at the same time until your hips are fully locked. Exhale your breath and brace yourself for the next rep.
